First off, a huge congratulations if you’re engaged or celebrating a special milestone! We are absolutely thrilled you’re considering us. Planning an event, whether it’s the wedding of your dreams, a milestone birthday, a corporate gala, or an impactful conference, should be a joyful and exciting journey, and we are here to make sure it’s exactly that.

For us, The Venue Paarl is more than just a business; it’s a passion, a way of life, and a commitment to creating something truly special. We believe a venue should be more than just a beautiful space. It should be a place where you feel understood, supported, and genuinely cared for. That’s why we poured our hearts into creating a venue that is meticulously designed for flawless events.

The FarmA Place of History and Beauty

The farm itself has a rich history, originally settled in 1747 by a blacksmith named Johann Jost Gunterlock. Paarl is one of South Africa’s oldest European settlements, founded in 1687, and gets its name, meaning ‘pearl’, from the way our three granite mountains glisten after rainfall. This blend of history, natural beauty, and modern elegance is what makes our setting so unique.

Nicole Dreyer

Owner & Venue Manager

She’s the heart of our client relations and has been a force in the wedding and events industry for nearly 10 years! A true jack-of-all-trades, her energy and love for people are legendary. As the owner or co-owner of three companies in the industry, including our in-house planning service, Unick, she deeply understands what makes a day magical.

Stephan Dreyer

Owner & Operations Manager

He’s a civil engineer by trade who swapped the corporate world to pour his energy into our family business. He handles all the behind-the-scenes magic—business operations, systems, finances, and strategy. He’s also our resident handyman and even built our website!

Nica Delport

Assistant Venue Manager

Our wonderful assistant manager! Nica is the friendly face you’ll often see handling day-to-day operations, assisting with client communication and viewings, and generally keeping the venue looking beautiful.

Monja Kift

Event Coordinator & Decor Stylist
Unick

Monja is our wonderful partner from Unick and is responsible for turning your vision into a reality. With her incredible sense of style and sharp eye for detail, she’ll be taking care of all your planning, coordination, flower, and decor needs, ensuring your day is absolutely magical.

Amanda Mugariri

Head Housekeeper

Our amazing head of housekeeping! Amanda is the superstar who ensures our venue and every single piece of cutlery, glassware, and crockery is absolutely spotless for your big day. Her positive attitude and constant smile play a crucial role in making the venue shine.

Our exclusive in-house caterer, Chef Wikus, is a culinary artist. He is passionate about using the freshest seasonal and locally sourced produce to create beautiful flavour explosions and works of art. Every wedding couple who books with us receives a complimentary consultation with him to design a bespoke menu that perfectly fits their vision and budget. He also creates incredible menus for functions and conferences.

Sous Chef

The powerhouse behind the scenes, sous chef Rico is Chef Wikus’s right-hand man. He plays a vital role in bringing every dish to life, assisting with menu development and ensuring every plate that leaves the kitchen is perfect. His dedication and expertise are a huge reason our catering runs so smoothly and tastes so incredible.
